FOX Networks Group’s shows were among some of the most talked about at the recent 2016 Comic-Con International, the world’s biggest pop culture and entertainment convention.
Among the highlights was the 7th Annual FOX International Comic-Con Press Breakfast, which took place under the blazing morning sun on July 22. Neither the early time nor the heat deterred more than 250 journalists, photographers, camera crews and industry guests from around the world from attending what has become a favorite part of their Comic-Con experiences.
FOX International, which broadcasts “The Walking Dead” and “Outcast” in over 125 countries outside of the U.S., began its event with red-carpet entrances and on-camera interviews from the casts of both shows. Attendees were treated to insights from “The Walking Dead” cast, show creator, writer and executive producer Robert Kirkman; showrunner Scott Gimple; executive producer and director Greg Nicotero; and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert about where the show will pick up for its hotly anticipated seventh season. Show stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Michael Cudlitz, Chandler Riggs, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand and Sonequa Martin-Green participated in a Q&A following the debut of the Season 7 trailer.
FOX International Studio also hosted a lively discussion on exorcism featuring the cast and producers of its first original series, “Outcast.” The panelists included cast members Patrick Fugit, Reg E. Cathey, Wrenn Schmidt and Philip Glenister, as well as creator, writer and executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner Chris Black. Cathey’s impromptu rap in German was a standout moment of the event.

Fans around the world were able to enjoy both panels, which were streamed via Facebook Live and have generated over 7 million in reach and nearly 2 million views.
Additionally, FOX, FX and Nat Geo hosted more than 25 panels, screenings, signings, press events and parties, including an “Archer Live!” event on a 200-foot yacht in San Diego Bay, a Mars-themed Nerd Nite for National Geographic, “pop-up exorcists” in support of “The Exorcist” and a blockbuster “Prison Break”/”24: Legacy” panel in Hall H, the convention’s biggest stage with a capacity of 6,130.
