On Tuesday, Oct. 24, 21st Century Fox’s Public Affairs team, in collaboration with FOX Sports, hosted an exclusive Washington, D.C. party for Game 1 of the World Series, where guests watched the Houston Astros take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on FOX.
More than 200 people attended, including U.S. Representatives Tony Cardenas (CA-29; wearing a blue Dodgers T-shirt), Jimmy Gomez (CA-34), Luis Gutiérrez (IL-4), as well as MPAA CEO Charlie Rivkin and senior staff from U.S. House and Senate offices, joined by friends from 21CF’s Public Affairs, FOX Sports, Fox News, Fox Networks Group, WTTG FOX 5 DC and National Geographic.
Guests were surprised by a special “shout-out” to D.C. just before the first pitch from FOX Sports World Series commentators Kevin Burkhardt, Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Keith Hernandez and Frank Thomas. They were also invited to check out FOX Sports’ new virtual reality app, with on-site headset demos ranging from college football to boxing and monster truck racing experiences.
