21st Century Fox was well-represented at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2017 last weekend, as 20th Century Fox Film, FX Networks, FOX Broadcasting Company and National Geographic provided plenty of trailers, panels, parties and activations for fans. Here’s a quick rundown:
20th Century Fox Film hosts ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ panel, generates big online buzz
The day of 20th Century Fox Film’s “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” (in theaters Sept. 22) panel started off with a bang, as the second official trailer for the film received more than 15 million views and generated more than 71,000 Twitter mentions in only its first 12 hours. The lively panel discussion on Thursday, July 21, included stars Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal, along with screenwriter Jane Goldman and “Kingsman” co-creator Dave Gibbons, also generated a lot of online buzz. (This was thanks in part to Halle Berry chugging some Statesman whiskey.) More than 2,500 fans attended the session in Hall H, which included a screening of more than 15 minutes of footage (three clips) from the film.
FX hosts panels for ‘Legion,’ ‘The Strain’ and ‘Archer,’ teases ‘American Horror Story: Cult’
FX was active at this year’s Comic-Con. In addition to setting up a number of activations for its shows (including a particularly immersive one for “Legion” involving augmented-reality technology Microsoft HoloLens) and teasing “American Horror Story” Season 7 (“Cult”), FX hosted engaging panel discussions with the casts, writers and producers of “Archer,” “Legion” and “The Strain.”

FOX brings nine series, gives fans first looks, activations and advanced screenings
FOX gave fans an all-encompassing experience by bringing nine of their series to Comic-Con. There were three activations at the event: An X-Gene screening station for “The Gifted,” a space training center for “The Orville” and laser tag for “Ghosted.”
The FOX Fanfare booth on the convention center floor gave attendees the opportunity to get autographs, participate in activities and get their hands on a variety of limited-edition swag.
Panels were hosted for “Ghosted,” “The Exorcist,” “The Gifted,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” “Lucifer,” “Gotham” and “The Orville.”
National Geographic hosts Nerd Nite party
National Geographic hosted another Nerd Nite party at the Solamar Terrace & Pool at the Hotel Solamar. The theme was “Red Planet/Blue Planet,” based on National Geographic’s series “MARS” and “One Strange Rock.” Guests received LED bracelets that synced to the music at the party with red and blue lights. They were also treated to signature cocktails and foods, as well as a swag bag.
