FOX News Channel Co-Presidents Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy celebrated the network’s 20th anniversary by gathering colleagues in its new, state-of-the-art studio, which will officially debut on Election Day. Bill and Jack were joined by FOX News’ management team as they shared their remarks, which were available to colleagues across the globe via a live teleconference.
“Today is about looking back at 20 news-packed years and then looking ahead to doing even more journalism,” Bill said. “We understand for the last few years there has been a lack of commination from the top; Jack and I are set to fix that.”
“Our records show that about a little over 190 people have been here from the very beginning, continuously,” Jack said. “Most of you, like me, have been here for only a portion of that time. As I get reacquainted with folks, I find tremendous amount of pride in what we do here – I can assure you that Bill and I are going to do our very best to innovate.”
The new $30 million studio along with plans to FOXNews.com and FOX News’ other digital ventures are examples of that commitment to innovation, Jack added.
“The ratings are higher than they have ever been,” he said. “The business is strong and the future is bright!”
