Hollywood star and legend Jane Russell was born on June 21, 1921, and would have been 97 this month. One of her most famous films is the 20th Century Fox Film “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (1953), in which she played Dorothy Shaw alongside her co-star Marilyn Monroe. Jane would go on to make two more pictures at Fox: “The Tall Men” (1955) with Clark Gable and Robert Ryan, and “The Revolt of Mamie Stover” (1956) with Richard Egan. She even participated in a cameo in “Fate is the Hunter” (1964), which starred Glenn Ford, Nancy Kwan and Rod Taylor.
