21CF colleagues across the U.S. took time to recognize the sacrifice and courage of veterans with dedicated programming and hosted events in cities across the U.S.

Here are some of the ways we offered our sincere gratitude to the veterans in our communities:

FOX Sports
During the week leading up to Veterans Day, FOX Sports honored our nation’s heroes across multiple properties, including NBA and NHL games. Highly anticipated special editions of FOX NFL Kickoff and FOX NFL Sunday, broadcasting live from Fort Benning, Georgia, were packed with an audience of veterans and active duty service members and their families.

FOX Sports also collaborated with our FOX Sports Supports partner, The Mission Continues, empowering veterans adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact.

FOX NFL Sunday, alongside a video crew from the American Forces Network (AFN), created an on-air piece in honor of Veterans Day.

USO Pathfinder Career Workshop
Fox Vets and other colleague volunteers hosted a USO career transitions workshop for members of the military. The USO’s Pathfinder program assists transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses in preparing for their next opportunity. Volunteers were paired up with participants to give a guiding hand with resume and interview preparation, hiring insights, networking and social media tips.

Bryon Harmon, WNYW-FOX5 News Director, shared his own personal story of transitioning from military service to working in the media industry.

Operation Gratitude Kit Packing Event
In partnership with Operation Gratitude, 21CF created customized Care Packages for active servicemen and women currently deployed around the world. Military Kit Packing events were held in locations across the U.S.

National Geographic
National Geographic has long supported our military through regular features on its digital/social media platforms; including: “Healing Soldiers” (dealing with traumatic brain injuries & PTSD); and numerous Vet profiles in its short film showcase.

Veterans Day Fund
21CF also extended a special giving opportunity for the following nonprofit organizations that are working hard to support US veterans and their loved ones: Service Women’s Action Network, Hire Heroes USA, Headstrong Project, Operation Homefront Inc, and the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

For every $1 you donate through this page, 21CF will contribute $2 to the fund, with donations allocated equally among the organizations.

VETS–Colleague Network & Resource Group (CNRGs)

21CF supports veterans year-round through VETS – an employee-led CNRG committed to the community of veterans, current service members and military supporters employed at 21CF; embracing 4 core values: community, appreciation, connection and education. Examples of previous Fox Vets hosted events:  Honoring Japanese American WWII Vets of 442nd Regimental Combat Team and Screening and Q&A with Tuskegee Airmen.
