Last month FOX Sports Latin America acquired the broadcasting rights to six of the 16 teams in Liga MX Femenil, a Mexican women’s league. The champion was determined last week in a two-part final broadcast exclusively on FS2: On Monday, Nov. 20, Pachuca defeated Chivas 2-0; on Friday, Nov. 24, Chivas defeated Pachuca 3-0 to ultimately win the title 3-2 on aggregate. FS2’s live and exclusive broadcast of the final included a one-hour pregame from Estadio Chivas, which included both Chivas and Pachuca’s club presidents, in addition to full team coverage and special reports. On-air talent during the broadcast included Marion Reimers, Verónica Rodríguez, Mónica Arredondo, Raúl Orvañanos, Santiago Puente and Antonio Valls. The second leg of the final was watched in-person by 32,466 fans, setting a new attendance record.
Through a multiyear agreement that started this season, FOX Sports Mexico will be the exclusive broadcaster for the home matches of the Chivas, Pachuca, Monterrey, León, Xolos and Santos clubs in Liga MX Femenil on its pay TV and digital platforms.
