I love behind-the-scenes photography. The Fox Archives has gorgeous portraits, scene stills and Fox lot photography, but the photographs that depict what happens off camera are my personal favorite.

Since I started working at Fox, just a hair over eight years ago, I started a little folder of my favorite photographs, showcasing the work that goes into creating the visual effects, or “movie magic,” we get to experience as an audience. Below are a few of my all-time favorites, in chronological order.

The Fox Archives is mandated to collect, catalog, preserve and make accessible the following assets of the 20th Century Fox studios: props, set decoration, photographs, art department and publicity materials from our film and television productions, and from the 20th Century Fox studio itself. We work primarily with internal Fox groups but also from time to time with outside organizations such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry.
